Redirections

The redirections will allow you to move users to the right stores, ideal if you manage a multi-store that is directed to public from different countries. They also allow you to display a pop-up with content you like, but your main goal is to give the user the option of staying in the store or being redirected to another.

Note

In case your shop is a multi-shop, redirects can only be configured in the context of a specific shop, never in All shops either Shop group.

Setting options

Countries

Mandatory option in which you must select the country or countries for which you want to generate the redirection. You can add or remove countries from the list of countries of the module. It should also be noted that it is not allowed to create 2 or more redirects within the same store with the same country, so, will be available only those who have not been selected in another redirection within the same store, and that are active in the list of countries in the module.

URL

Mandatory option in which you must enter the URL to which the redirection will be performed. The URL must be entered including the protocol http:// or https://.

Warning

Be careful NOT to add a URL that points inside your own store, otherwise it could cause an infinite loop and throw an error.

Quantity of redirects

Field in which you must specify the number of times you want to redirect the user. In case the redirection has a pop-up window, it will also be the number of times it will be displayed. You can create an infinite redirection by leaving the field at 0.

Use full path

Very useful option that tries, in a redirection, to keep the user in a page of the same type. For example: if the customer is on the page of a product of a store and a redirection is executed, it will try to redirect it to the page of the same product in the other store, whenever possible. In a similar way it would happen with the pages of categories, cms, etc. Inside the module you will find a detailed example of its use.

Show a popup

By activating this option will show a text area that will allow you to create personalized multi-language content of a pop-up that will be shown when the redirect is activated. This would be an alternative option to execute the redirection immediately, since its purpose is to give the option to the user to be redirected or not.

Active

Option to explicitly activate or deactivate the redirection you are adding or editing.
